The Sickest Children in History

The Sickest Children In History

And What You Can Do About It

When I went back to school to get my Master’s in psychology, one of the professors reminded me what my favorite teach in undergrad at SUNY Albany used to say, “You measure the success of a society by the wellbeing of its children.” If that is the case, the facts show our society is failing more than any other time in history – and only we can do something to change it.

In a past article published by the Wall Street Journal called, “So Young and So Many Pills,” it was discovered that 25% of children are taking medications for chronic illness. This included an alarming number of kids taking drugs for what are considered childhood illnesses such as asthma and ADHD. However, the saddest and most striking part of the article was the reality that you have millions of toddlers, young boys, and girls taking anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, and high blood pressure and cholesterol drugs, sleeping pills, and medication for “Adult”- onset Diabetes.

A newer report reveals that about 27% of U.S. children suffer from a chronic health condition. Realizing that the term “chronic” was once reserved for people that developed disease over a lifetime – we’ve just now radically sped up the process.

The diseases include, but are not limited to: Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Cancer, Arthritis, Epilepsy, Auto-immune Disease, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Respiratory illness, Cystic fibrosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Morbid Obesity, Asthma, Allergies, and a major rise in developmental and learning disorders.  Cancer is now the leading cause of disease related death in children.

These are historical highs and growing. The Journal of the American Medical Association reports that his number has more than doubled in the last 4 decades.1 This is the first generation in history to experience poorer health and a shorter lifespan then the prior generation.2 Even the CDC recognizes, “Chronic diseases and conditions – such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, obesity and arthritis – are among the most common, costly and preventable of all health problems.”  The problems are unnecessary, preventable, and the solution are relatively simple, and should be the center of the target for chiropractors.

As world health leaders at WHO point out, these common diseases among children are based on environment exposures.3

When you take the genes of a human being and expose them to:

  • Subluxation
  • Toxicity – medications, vaccinations, artificial food stuffs, biotoxins, and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)
  • Macronutrient imbalance and vitamin, mineral, and enzyme deficiencies.
  • A sedentary lifestyle in front of electronics.
  • Stress and restlessness

You produce disease rather than health.

As Harry Truman said way back in 1946, “A nation is only as healthy as its children.”
