A recent statement from a well-known venture capitalist state that to thrive in the up-coming, hostile economic times; “You need a lot of money!”

When it comes to your personal finances, issues like covid, inflation, and all of the other oddities and chaos in the market are having a seismic impact on a massively wide net of economic sectors and our investment portfolios. If you fail to navigate these historically turbulent market changes you will invariably be wiped out or suffer lasting financial damage and loss. Thankfully, while there are landmines, there exists some excellent, AGILE, inflation-resistant options for success.  Specifically, learn how to master crypto and real estate:

LANDMINE: PARKING YOUR MONEY AND WAITING FOR “NORMAL” 

Starbucks stock plummeted last week. Financial reports have touted covid resurgences in China and supply chain issues for the major hit investors have had to endure. This is a picture of our turbulent times and the problem is being multiplied by inflation; an increase in the price of goods and services, increase in wages, rising production expenses, and the cost of raw materials going up and up. Last week I reported an over 5% inflation rate for the year. This week, the consumer price index reports 6.2 percent October to October; the highest annual inflation rate since November 1990.

DON’T BE A CAUTIONARY TALE:

With any economic strategy, make sure to work with experts who know crypto, real estate, conventional stock and bond investing, or anything else.

AGILE OPTION 1: MASTER CRYPTO

Hyper-inflation poses a major threat to fiat money like the U.S. dollar. Fiat is a currency with no intrinsic value as it is not backed by a commodity such as gold. Crypto is ultimately a deflationary asset. Thus, members of countries like the U.S. with unstable fiat currencies are utilizing it in greater and greater numbers to protect against hyperinflation and rising costs of everything they need and use. Unlike fiat, crypto can’t be manipulated by changing interest rates and increased money printing.

Historically, gold has been used as a hedge against inflation, but now crypto has become a more popular alternative with radically more massive upside. It’s an enormously big deal if gold or silver goes up 10% from it’s current average. With crypto, however, with the right research and knowledge, you can take advantage of 25-30% jumps regularly in major currencies and even several hundred percent jumps. 

Just make sure you’re informed or it’s like going to Vegas to beat the economy. Crypto can be volatile. Yet, help from the experts can make volatility the best friend of investors. As an example, Bitcoin saw a massive drop in value at times last year, but has rebounded to record numbers right now. Many other coins have done the same allowing you to buy at optimal prices, ride the wave up, and take advantage of volatility in taking your winnings off the table.

AGILE OPTION 2: MULTIPLE TYPES OF REAL ESTATE 

    WHY DOES REAL ESTATE DO WELL DURING HOSTILE TIMES?

  1. The values of properties are going up! Construction materials, developer costs, and staffing wages are up increasing the values on new properties. Existing properties follow suit with less supply of new constructions and the global elevation of the entire marketplace.
  2. Borrowing costs will rise. Rising prices aren’t conducive to favorable terms for mortgages. As currency is devalued by inflation, banks raise interest rates. This impacts not only buyers, but the contractors who generally utilized loans to build.
  3. Rental rates are going to spike!  As homes become more expensive, more people will rent. With high demand, comes greater prices.  Owning rental properties right now puts you in prime position.
  4. The right investment provides appreciation; which offsets inflation.  
  5. There are many even more agile, alternatives for real estate investing. I invest in real estate 9 different ways such as:

  • Invest in mortgages
  • Organize investors to purchase property
  • Corporate real estate loans

While finance, energy, and utility markets get hit hard by inflation, in stark contrast, real estate and crypto done well is a great hedge against hyper-inflation.
