The necessity of alignment
John F. Kennedy’s told a story about a time he visited NASA and came across a janitor mopping up the floor. When JFK asked him what his job was at NASA, the man said, “I’m helping to send a man to the moon.” That is aligned leadership (Leader vision = team vision).
It’s the first of the year. Thus, for most leaders, it is time to re-cast the vision and share the goals for the organization with their teams and managers. Yet, in most clinics and organizations, the staff is resistant; which is deadly.
