Every person is important. Therefore, when statistics show that 1 or more people are sick, there’s significant cause for concern. The last report as of this writing is that 1770 people have died from coronavirus since its inception. That’s 1770 too many. Yet, every minute in China, 4 people die of cancer with 781,000 new cases and just under 3 million deaths each year. The March 2019 JAMA showed that the number of deaths annually from heart disease increased from 2.51 million to 3.97 million. Heart disease and cancer are killing people in epidemic proportions in the U.S. as well.
An employee from the world’s largest producer of flu vaccines casually mentioned to me that they were now making the coronavirus vaccine. That’s when this all scared the crap out of me. The virus didn’t bring me fear and never does, but hearing this did.
Suddenly all of the hype, all of the fear-mongering, all of the news updates every time another person is diagnosed, and all of this social media came crashing in on me like a tidal wave made out of bricks. They’re not making a vaccine for a select group of people in an independent part of the world. Another vaccine, another trillion dollars for vaccine companies, additional cash for the related profiteers, and more of those with vested interest threatening to take away my rights if I don’t inject my family with whatever they manage to put in those needles that masquerade as a health care solution.
Anything that hurts anyone is a very big deal. Of the people that have been infected, the World Health Organization officials say the majority are over 40 years old; particularly impacting the elderly. 85% of the deaths have been by those with underlying health conditions such as heart disease or diabetes. A report from China’s National Health Commission has shown that about 80% of the people who died from the virus are over the age of 60. Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, head of WHO’s emerging diseases and zoonosis said, “It appears even over 80 is the highest risk factor.” (Yet, we know the young won’t be spared the vaccine)
We’re learning the same facts about this virus as every other; unhealthy people with a compromised immune system makeup nearly all of the risk for infection and are virtually the only ones to die.
If we want to save millions from heart disease and cancer, study after study has already proved the solution; address lifestyle and provide care that improves overall well-being. Healthy living wipes out the vast preponderance of chronic disease. We find the same over and over again with viruses; of the millions exposed, the healthy have the power to resist infection or get well if they become sick.
WHAT ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC? If you’ve been following the coronavirus story, comparisons have been made to the 1918 St. Louis “Spanish Flu” vs. Coronavirus. This 1918 flu-infected and killed radically more people than any similar outbreak in history killing many Americans and riddling the country with fear. It has been estimated that 20 million people died throughout the world, including about 500,000 in the U.S.
In the midst of this epidemic, the health care community discovered that the death rate of chiropractic patients was radically lower than that of non-chiropractic patients! In fact, it was chiropractic’s success in caring for Spanish Flu victims that led to the profession’s licensure in many states.
Researchers reported that in Davenport, Iowa, out of the 93,590 patients treated by medical doctors, there were 6,116 deaths — a loss of one patient out of every 15. Chiropractors at the Palmer School of Chiropractic adjusted 1,635 cases, with only one death. Outside Davenport, chiropractors in Iowa cared for 4,735 cases with only six deaths — one out of 866. During the same epidemic, in Oklahoma, out of 3,490 flu patients under chiropractic care, there were only seven deaths. Furthermore, chiropractors were called in 233 cases given up as lost after medical treatment and reportedly saved all but 25. In another report covering 4,193 cases by 213 chiropractors, 4,104 showed complete recovery.1,2,3 These results are part of the proven, critical link between the body’s central nervous system and the immune system.
Marcus Bach, PhD. was a famous author and researcher in the 60s who wrote the book, The Chiropractic Story. He was not a chiropractor, but became enthralled with the profession when his mother was dying, the medical care was failing, and a chiropractor stepped in and saved her life. His mother’s medical doctor was also their family physician and a friend.
When Bach inquired with his medical doctor about the benefits of chiropractic, the MD answered, “The crux of the matter is this: if there is anything to chiropractic, don’t you think medicine would have discovered it in our five thousand years of scientific medical research?”
Years later, Dr. Bach told this story to B.J. Palmer, the son of D.D. Palmer who founded chiropractic. B.J. said, “Good God, chiropractic it’s here now and they still haven’t discovered it!”
The facts show that healthy people, living a healthy lifestyle, with a body functioning well have radically lower cancer and heart disease risks and can resist or overcome infection. As many have stated at this point; “Why not make exercise, a plant-based diet, a multi-vitamin, 7.5 hours of sleep a night, and chiropractic care mandatory while making fast-food and soda illegal?”
The solution is here now! When we get sick or there’s an epidemic, there’s always a call to take or make more drugs. Yet, a change in lifestyle would save millions of lives, save any country billions of dollars, and the only side-effects being greater health and a better world.
Have fun saving the world
Dr. Ben
